Dear Life Traveler,

I’m Simona, an Italian transplant writing my way through the 9-to-5 grind, improv gigs, and a nervous-but-thrilling leap into short films.

This space began as a quiet rebellion against perfection. I was tired of optimizing, performing, and pretending I had it all figured out. I started writing to feel more like myself.

In Sincerely, A Work in Progress, I map the messy, nonlinear journey of growing up (yes, even in your thirties), stumbling forward, grieving old selves, and learning to celebrate life’s small moments.

I post every other week-ish, guided more by intuition than a calendar. Each piece is sparked by something real—a memory, a conversation, a feeling I can’t shake.

More than anything, I hope something here echoes your own journey, and that something in your journey echoes in mine. I can’t wait to meet fellow writers, improvisers, creatives, and people who love co-creating.

If that’s you, welcome!

A Note on My Aesthetic

I grew up on 90s anime like Sailor Moon and Dragon Ball (just to give you an idea). The anime images I use here are part nostalgia, part self-portrait, and totally for the inner child in me who always wished she was an anime character.

I write the life moments that stick: funny, tender, nostalgic, guided by intuition. No need to make things up when life’s already wild.
